Welcome to my first FF@F'ish blog post for 2018!
I know, long time between FF@F'ish posts but this I hope, was worth the wait. Some of you may know that I was honoured before Christmas to have won a top 3 placing with a lovely digital stamp company in the UK called "All Dressed Up" Remember this totally cute card?
So you may also know that the gals at All Dressed Up were going to offer one of the three of us who won a guest design team spot for February. So yup, you guessed it (pun intended) I won the spot.
Below is the image I chose to work with , isn't it lovely, it's called Flower Market!
I printed the image onto XpressIt blending card (A5 sized, that's half an A4 page) twice. Coloured all the first image with my best friends, Copic markers. Next I coloured sections of the 2nd printed image and fussy cut them out. I've layered them onto the first full coloured image with foam mounting tape to give it a 3D appearance.
When finished, I layered it onto a copper'ish coloured foil board, then onto an 8inch by 8inch black painted canvas with XpressIt foam mounting tape. Those metallic stripes have been created by using XpressIt's very tacky double sided tape and brushing on a totally gorgeous and stunning variegated gold leafing. I can't recall where I got that gold leafing from, it was in a cello pack and I'd already put it into a container for easier use. I brushed it on with a super soft, almost Kabuki soft styled, brush. Next, using a stippling brush to make sure it stuck well and was completely covered, I brushed off any excess back into it' storage container.
I am very very happy with how it turned out and as you can see, there was a lot of work in it of which I'm rather proud. I am so pleased and humbled that the ladies at All Dressed Up loved what I created for them. The images from this store are so cute and fun to work with. Thanks again All Dressed Up for the opportunity to showcase one of your new designs.
