Meet Nibbles and Pip

FF@F'oclock'ish is on holiday!

G'day, I'm coming to you from the middle

of the South Pacific ocean today.

Hubby and I are onboard the lovely Carnival Spirit for 8 days of total rest and relaxation!

CarnivalOfTheSea1

I will share some photos with you when we get back but for now I wanted to show you the new styled inkpad cases because I think you are all going to love them.

With the colour re-vamp happening come 1st June 2018  Stampin Up decided that they would changed the cases for all their inkpads.  And can I say that I am very please because I've struggled quite a bit with the current style.   Why are all the cases being replaced now?  Well Stampin Up had the opportunity to either have the moulds that make the cases replaced with the same or take that time to update the case design.  Because the moulds only have a set amount of life in them, they were starting to wear out and would soon be unusable.  Stampin Up manufacture nearly all their core products themselves.  This was perfect timing to change to a new style of inkpad.  Along with that they have also added a defoaming agent to the ink it's self.  This will stop the inkpads from bubbling as they have previously done on the foam pads.  This includes re-inkers too.

As you can see in my photo, they are more streamlined and much easier to open.  Think of a cosmetic compact and how that opens. Yes, you've got it.  Or a mobile flip phone?  Hello??? LOL.

HelloNewinkpad copy

So what's the difference in sizing?  Very little to be honest. Below are some photos of the stacked inkpads in the 5 new incolours that are coming 1st June 2018.  Aren't they gorgeous brilliant and bright colours, oh yes!   And don't you just love how they stack so easily?  I do.  The original design didn't allow you to make a neat stack like this.

Here is a comparison of the new with the old.

InkpadComparison1

And here are a couple of photos with the new inkpad opened.  Note on the inside where the inkpad is there is a strip of colour?  Well along with the labels that usually come with new inkpads that you can put on the outside of the pad so you can see at a glance which pad you select from your caddy, Stampin Up have also included a solid block of colour sticker that you can place inside the ink pad.  This will be so handy when you have the ink pads open. You and your customers can see by the strip which ink the pad is. How handy dandy is this going to be!

Welcome back to FF@F'ish!

Fabulous Fridays @ Five'o'Clock'ishHeaderJpeg

What have I to show you this week?  Some oh so gorgeous new products coming in the new Annual Catalogue, due for release 1st June 2018. Check out this box of goodness!

NewProductsArrivedApril2018 copy

My card this week has been created using some gorgeous Designer Series Patterned Paper (DSP) and it's a beautiful range.  Because this year is Stampin' Up's 30th anniversary they have incorporated 'pearl' into a lot of their new product range.  This DSP being no exception. It's gorgeous.  It's also one of the largest paper packs they've produced.  It has not 2 but 4 of each design, all double sided.  There are splashes of pearl finishes over many of the pages.

cuttingUpNewDSP1

Also to soon be release is a gorgeous Embellishment kit called "Share What You Love"  It comes boxed in the most beautiful packaging too.  Pearls, Pearly finised doilies, metal flowers, clips, bakers twine and beautiful lazer cut tags.  These will be sure to take your projects up a notch!

[gallery ids="395,396,397" type="rectangular"]

This card has used a soon to be retired Pansy punch to cut out pieces of the new DSP along with the leaf punch (carrying over to the new catalogue)  I've spritzed the cut flowers with plain water then scrunched them up.  I left them for a bit then carefully opened them out, layered them and held the layers together with a brad.  Yes!  Brads are returning in the new catalogue too. I'm sooo happy about that as I use them a lot in my flower making.

[gallery ids="392,390" type="rectangular"]

The leaves I punched out of another piece of the DSP and inked the edges with basic black ink.  I made my sentiment using a stamp from the Colourful Seasons stamp set (also carrying over), punched it out with the Tailored punch (carrying over too) and then with the same DSP as the leaves, punched out the Everyday Label (carrying over) to layer my sentiment on.  I've added a touch of flair by placing some gorgeous new  pearls that are from the Embellishment kit too, so very pretty.  Added a strip of hand dyed Old Olive seam binding, adhered everything and tahdaah a gorgeous card I'm sure one of my friends is going to love receiving.

Ah and did you notice up in that photo of my new product delivery the new styled inkpad cases?  Yes, they have brought in a new style and they are so much easier to open. Plus, they stack really well.  Stay tuned, there's talk of a new inkpad storage caddy in the future too. But for now, they sit in the current caddy very well for sure!

FF@F'ish'o'clock, welcome!

Sooooooooo earlier this week you would have seen my post about the retiring products and that come 1st June 2018 there is a colour re-vamp.  So what did I create for today's Fabulous Fridays at 5'o'clock post?  A sweet card using 3 colours that are making a come back this year.  The two stamp sets used are also carrying over to the new catalogue too, Lovely as a Tree and Sheltering Tree. So happy about that as I love both those sets.

I've used Blackberry Bliss, Mossy Meadow and Mint Macaron inks to stamp my images onto Whisper White cardstock. I've edged my stamped image with my trusty silver paint pen, added some hand dyed seam binding in Blackberry Bliss and mounted onto a base of Blackberry Bliss cardstock.   I am so glad I had hung on to these coloured ink pads and still have some card stock in them too.  Which ment I could show you this now instead of waiting until the products go on sale.  See what you have to look forward to!  I know, Blackberry Bliss, I'm in heaven!

PLEASE NOTE: the three ink colours and coloured card stock are NOT available as yet.  I have listed them to show you what I used. They will be available in the new Annual Catalogue 1st June 2018 and they will be in the new case format too!

Retirement Lists are out!

04.18_SHAREABLE_RETIRING_LIST_SP

So yes, they are now available.  Don't delay as from past experience, especially ink pads and re-inkers, things sell out super fast.  If you have held on to some retired ink pads with their reinkers, take a look at the graphic below.  Yes, come the new catalogue on 1st June, some old favourites are making a comeback and I know some of you are going to do the happy dance just like I've been doing.  Can you say Blackberry Bliss?  Also, one of the fasted turn arounds out of retirement will be Flirty Flamingo, it's going to stay and be added to the re-vamped Brights Collections.  How good is this!!!!!!!!!!

Please note:  You may see many bundles listed as being retired, this is usually the bundle only.  This does not always mean those products are retiring, they just won't be in a bundle when the new catalogue is released come 1st June 2018.  All bundles are available only for the life of the catalogue they are printed in.

Sooooooooooooo here we go, here's the

new look colour families come 1st June!

COLOUR REVAMP TO TAKE AFFECT

1ST JUNE 2018!

Don't leave it too late to order any of the colours you love.  I always advise my customers when purchasing ink pads to purchase the re-inker at the same time.  The re-inker lasts and lasts which inturn means your ink pad should give you meany years of great stamping! (depending on your weather conditions ie if you are in a hotter climate, re-inking happens a bit more often)

Playing with ink and DSP!

Surprize, yes I know, it's Tuesday and you also know if you follow me personally on Facebook, it's TuTu Tuesday.  Here's my TuTu Tuesday post....

Image may contain: 2 people, people smiling, flower and outdoor

Over the weekend I did a little bit of play but hubby and I spend more time together and enjoyed going for a long country drive to pick apples & strawberries. Sadly all the strawberries had been picked the day before we went but we got the most beautiful case of apples so later today I'm going to be cooking and preping most of them to go in the freezer.  It's no secret that I've recently be diagnosed with type 2 diabetes so I'm in a huge learning curve right now. Apples have become my go to snack and I've been finding ideas for using them as a natural sweetner too.

FlirtyFlamingoBestWishesVHampson

This pretty card I made using just Flirty Flamingo and the beautiful Petal Passion Designer Series Paper.  This paper being black and white was perfect for inking with Flirty Flamingo ink. I've also used scraps of it for layering, to decorate the insert paper and on the side of my envelope too.  The stamp set used was Hold on too Hope with the matching die set and my sentiment used a stamp from Petal Palette. A little washi tape and tadah, so pretty!
