FF@F'oclock'ish is on holiday!

G'day, I'm coming to you from the middle

of the South Pacific ocean today.

Hubby and I are onboard the lovely Carnival Spirit for 8 days of total rest and relaxation!

I will share some photos with you when we get back but for now I wanted to show you the new styled inkpad cases because I think you are all going to love them.

With the colour re-vamp happening come 1st June 2018  Stampin Up decided that they would changed the cases for all their inkpads.  And can I say that I am very please because I've struggled quite a bit with the current style.   Why are all the cases being replaced now?  Well Stampin Up had the opportunity to either have the moulds that make the cases replaced with the same or take that time to update the case design.  Because the moulds only have a set amount of life in them, they were starting to wear out and would soon be unusable.  Stampin Up manufacture nearly all their core products themselves.  This was perfect timing to change to a new style of inkpad.  Along with that they have also added a defoaming agent to the ink it's self.  This will stop the inkpads from bubbling as they have previously done on the foam pads.  This includes re-inkers too.

As you can see in my photo, they are more streamlined and much easier to open.  Think of a cosmetic compact and how that opens. Yes, you've got it.  Or a mobile flip phone?  Hello??? LOL.

So what's the difference in sizing?  Very little to be honest. Below are some photos of the stacked inkpads in the 5 new incolours that are coming 1st June 2018.  Aren't they gorgeous brilliant and bright colours, oh yes!   And don't you just love how they stack so easily?  I do.  The original design didn't allow you to make a neat stack like this.

Here is a comparison of the new with the old.

And here are a couple of photos with the new inkpad opened.  Note on the inside where the inkpad is there is a strip of colour?  Well along with the labels that usually come with new inkpads that you can put on the outside of the pad so you can see at a glance which pad you select from your caddy, Stampin Up have also included a solid block of colour sticker that you can place inside the ink pad.  This will be so handy when you have the ink pads open. You and your customers can see by the strip which ink the pad is. How handy dandy is this going to be!

til next time,

happy stamping, colouring
