Yes, I know I said I'd post more but life go in the way again. I did take a long time for my broken arm to heal properly. As of this post it's as good as it's ever going to get.
Last year after recovering from my broken arm we only had a few months before my poor hubby Herbie was diagnosed with throat cancer. You can imagine how much that floored us. So the 2nd half of 2025 was spent back and forth the Peter McCallum Cancer Institute in Melbourne city for his treatment. 35 rounds of radiation and 2 intensive rounds of chemotherapy.
By Christmas all treatment was had then it was recovery time. Poor Herbie has been tube fed through his stomach as he couldn't swallow a thing. All his hair from half way down the back of his head fell out along with his beard on the left side. It's slowly starting to grow back but we don't thing he'll ever have to shave on the left hand side ever again.
As of now he is eating by mouth again mostly soft foods but he's getting there. He can't wait to have a pizza again.
So it's been full on. My stamping up took a back seat again but I'm back into it madly making swaps for the next Onstage live to be held in Sydney in a few weeks time. It's at the Sydney Hilton Hotel this year and as I didn't find anyone to share accommotion with Herbie is coming with me to spend some time in Sydney with his best mate Frank. Herbie gets the results from his PET and CT scans on 5th March to see if the cancer treatment has killed the cancer that was in his throat and lymph notes. So we are taking the opportunity to either celebrate (which we pray it will be celebration time) or to take a breather incase he has to have more treatments.
This post is short today seeing as it's taken me so long since my last post. I'm not making any promises at the moment but I hope to be back blogging with lots of photos hopefully after OnStage in March.
Bye for now and remember...
HAPPY COLOURING AND CRAFTING!!
