FF@F'o'clock'ish! 15th November 2019!

NewFabulousFridaysOct2019

Welcome everyone,

This is a quick post today.  You see, OnStage is happening this weekend and hubby and I are celebrating early, not only our wedding anniversary, but his birthday as well by spending the whole weekend in the city of Sydney!

I'm sharing  my OnStage swaps.  They were so easy to make because Stampin' Up!® have such fabulous products.  I made about 60+ of these and each one has Lindt chocolate inside!  These little Mini Curvy Keepsake boxes are the bomb! I love them!  There are so many other things you can put inside them. You could even make a garland out of them, they are such a lovely size!

Firstly I cut my designer series papers down to 6"x6" squares, this is the perfect size to cut out the Mini Curvy Keepsake boxes. You could use 6"x 6" paper stacks too, remember the pretty silver foiled ones I did a few months back?  Yes, those were made using the Feels Like Frost papers!

I still have a Bigshot die cutting machine but because that ment cranking the handle for every single one, I used my electric eBoss machine. Using it I could put 2 and some times 3 sheets through at the same time. It sure made getting them cut very quick.  As soon as I have more information from Stampin' Up! about a new Die Cutting Machine you'll be the first to know!!  I even managed to fit onto a Dymo LabelWriter450 sticker all my details and what products I've used!

Using my bone folder I gently curved all the flaps inwards, making sure I had selected what side of the paper I wanted on the outside.  Folded them all together leaving one side open to insert the chocolate.  It is a good idea to do this because when put together they sit much better and you can't see inside them.  Once they were all done, I punched out the 2 different sized scalloped circle punches. I made the smaller ones white and stamped 'Hello' on it. That Hello stamp has been used so much, it's from the Beauty Abounds stamp set!  Using up the off cuts from the die cutting, I punched out butterflies using just the small one from the Butterfly Duet punch. Attached one to each of the layered circles then adhered one to each of the boxes, tadah, done!

Check out the lovely Lindt chocolates I got from the factory outlet not 15 minutes from my place!  The ladies on the check out had never seen anyone pack that many into their smallest gift box before.  It was like doing a Tetris(?) puzzle, I was very patient putting them in. My friend who was with me was gobsmaked.  I counted about 76 in that box. I did give some to a friend as a thank for something, the rest, well, they are ready to hand out on Saturday!

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.  I shall be spending all day at the Sydney International Convention Centre (the ICC most call it) taking in all the new information from Stampin' Up!® AND  receiving advanced copies of both the Occasions 2020 catalogue along with the 2020 Sale-A-Bration flyer!  Boy I shall have lots to share with you next week that's for sure.  And watch for me on Instagram, you'll find me under #wirgie101 on there.

Til next time, remember

happy stamping, colouring & creating!

Tutu Tuesday, 13 August 2019!

TutuTuesdayJune2019Floral1a

Welcome to Tutu Tuesday and what would it be without a gorgeous tutu for you all to admire!  How cute is this!

Ball-Gown/Princess Knee-length Flower Girl Dress - Tulle Sleeveless Straps (010089505)

This week, I've continued to create with the new Mini Curvy Keepsake dies that will be available to purchase from 4th September 2019.  Last week, I used Designer Series papers, this week I'm using vellum!  Oh what a gorgeous little treasure this box is done in vellum.

MCKeepsakeSupplies1aI've stamped it in Versamark ink with a pretty floral/berry sprig from a new stamp set also available on 4th September, called Frosted Foliage. I then sprinkled white embossing powder over the stamped images, tapped off the excess then heat set it.  Great effect!   I then turned over the cut out die and coloured in on the back side of it using a Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Write marker.

colouringInOnWrongSide1aMade sure it was completely dry before giving it a little curve with my bone folder.  I cut the pointy top off the battery operated tealight and it the fitted inside the box without sticking out of the top of it.  Cutting off the tip doesn't affect the tea light at all.

Genius!!!  Can you imagine a string of these hanging in a little girls room or maybe on your Christmas tree?  I can!

Here's a bit of a Youtube clip showing it as it twinkled away....

Also I worked out that if you adhered the battery operated tealight inside the box before folding it up, then cut a little slither out of the vellum, you can switch it on and off without having to open up the box!  Again, genius!!

FF@5'o'clock'ish, 9 August 2019!

FFat5OclockishJune2019a

Welcome to Friday, for most, the end of their working week for some the start and for others maybe even the middle of their working week!

It's been sooooooooo cold here at the Hovel the last few days.  I spent most of the day yesterday just trying to stay warm. Our house is so cold in winter and more so with this new roof. It still doesn't make us want to have any carpet laid down though ☺

Today I'm sharing with you a few creations made with new products coming in the the Holiday 2019 Catalogue.  I am sooo very happy with the new mini Curvy Keepsakes dies. I did a huge happy dance and cut one out before I'd even chucked out all the packaging from my pre-order!  Check it out, new 6x6"/15x15cm DSP as well!

AND I got creating with the new Stitched Stars Dies coming as well. Oh wait til you see the new holiday catalogue, it has some gorgeous things and some hidden gems too. I've already got another pre-order waiting to be paid for to put in! Yes, once I got the hard copy of the catalogue (if you are a demonstrator that's a perk, you get the catalogues much earlier than customers do!)  well, more went on my list!

I've had those little fake diamonds for ages, they seem to have gone a long way. Don't ask me where here in Sydney I got them, I just can't remember LOL. I've got them in 3 different sizes, these smallest ones have been fabulous for shaker cards and ornaments. Remember me making Star ornaments a few years ago?  Yes, I did a gold and black one with these fake diamonds.  The Red & Silver one has the tiny tiniest jingle bells in them, they were in a past Christmas catalogue, sorry, wish we could still get them.  I found them too hard to thread on anything then found they made perfect filling for a shaker!

The dies I used for those stars were discontinued but I still own them.  If there is enough interest, I could be talked in to creating a tutorial for those of you who still have those start dies coz I'll never part with mine!

Here are some other mini Curvy Keepsake Boxes I've created, aren't they the best!  I still have the original larger dies so this mini one is a perfect compliment to the larger one. The mini is large enough to put a tea light in it, a Lindt Lindor ball or a Ferrero Rocher even.  You could even put those mini chocolates like Cabury or Nestle make. For our American friends, Hershey's Kisses, Reeses Peanut Butter cups maybe?

Firstly look, this is great, you can cut two out of an A4 sheet of card stock and have left overs to cut out tags/labels/flowers/leaves what ever!2perA4SheetMiniKeepsakeBoxes2019B

Check back on 4th September, I will have a link to the pdf of the catalogue for you to look through and all products will be on sale on that day as well!  Perfect timing for some Christmas shopping too!

Aren't they so cute!
