FFat5OclockishJune2019a

Welcome, my goodness, the Holiday catalogue is finally live, have you looked at it yet?

You can download a pdf copy to view from this link here...

In this post I want to show you the gorgeous Feels Like Frost 6"x6" (15cm x 15cm) papers and how you can custom colour the foil sides.  Remember these little mini Keepsake Boxes from about a month ago?  See the middle one in silver and white?  Yes, that's from the Feels Like Frost 6x6" Designer Series Paper Pack, and it's great value! Perfectly sized at 6"x6" (15cm x 15cm for us Aussies) for the Mini Curvy Keepsakes die too!  As the papers are double sided, I'm concentrating on the foiled sides today. I will create using the other sides on another post some time soon.  Be sure to watch the first video, made by Stampin' Up!, because it shows you all the gorgeous photo printed sides as well.  They are  glorious!

Check out what they look like in this clip below then check out under this video to see what I have also done with the foiled sides of this delightful paper!

I have taken two very different colours and used my little sponge brayers (page 181 of the current annual catalogue) to apply colour all over each sheet.  You will see in the photos and the little clip I made how well it takes the colours!  Make sure you use a clean tissue or soft cloth and buff over each after applying the colour so you don't have it sitting on the foiled areas.

Always have scrap/grid paper under your work when brayering, nothing worse then it getting anywhere else.  Grid paper is always available in the annual catalogue!

Remember don't press onto your inkpad too hard. It may look like there's not much ink on the sponge but there is!

I've then used my Mini Curvy Keepsakes die to cut out each sheet and create some  gorgeous little gift boxes.  See, these papers are not just for Christmas but for any special occasion. Think Valentines day, Easter, birthdays, Wedding favours, Christmas/Christmas decorations!  The ideas are endless!

Fabulous Fridays @ 5'o'clock, 2nd August 2019

FFat5OclockishJune2019a

Well hello everyone, welcome back if you've been here before and a double welcome if you are new to my blog. It's Fabulous Fridays @ Five'o'clock'ish time !!

I am taking up the challenge from Stampin' Up!'s head office and doing #simplestamping  using only stamps, ink and paper (card stock).  This shows you just how quickly you can create beautiful, elegant cards with just a few supplies.

Now I know I've used 12 different colour ink pads, but that's because, well I can, as I have all of our beautiful colours to choose from. But you can choose just two colours that look great together, a stazon jet black ink pad and get beautiful cards too!

12coloursInkpads1

Below all this is a list of everything I've used to make this set of 6 cards and the list links straight to my online store too. Makes shopping that much easier!

I've used mostly the one stamp set and a sentiment, that's a favourite, out of another.  August's theme was 'Birthday cards'. So I've 6 already made.  Don't forget to decorate your envelopes too!

I've taken the large abstract block stamp  from the Love What You Do set and inked up half with a light colour and the other half with a darker shade. I then used a mini spritzer the light spritz water over the inked stamp and stamped onto my Whisper White note cards. These note cards are so handy, 20 in a packet with envelopes too!

Once I'd decided on my colours, this set of 6 cards and envelopes only took 30 minutes to make.  No glue or cutting out of anything either!  So why don't you try using just your inks, stamps and paper/card stock. #SimpleStamping, it's easy!

PurpleNewFabulous Fridays at 5'o'clock'ish!

G'day everyone, happy Friday to you all.

A quick share today to show you some more of what's coming in next week's new catalogue release.  I absolutely love this stamp set with it's matching dies, The Sailing Home Bundle!  I haven't bought any of the coordinating Designer Series Papers as yet. I thought I'd let the stamps create my background.  What I've used is listed below in my product listing.  I've only used stamps, ink, cardstock, adhesives & my die cutting machine (I've a Bigshot).  There are some amazing male themed products, something I know many have asked for.  I can also see this card made in a more feminine hue as well.
