Fabulous Fridays @ Five'o'Clock'ishHeaderJpeg

Welcome back. I do trust you are enjoying the little changes I have been making on my blog.  That is, adding in video tutorials.  As promised from this Tutu Tuesday's video tutorial, here is the finished card I made with that sample in the video.  I love how all the colours are so vivid and bright.

Here's the base I started with from Tuesday.

My apologies that it is a bit blurry, I took a screen capture because I forgot to photograph it before completing the card.

How gorgeous do the colours look all blended in together on this tree!

Yes, I did an insert for this card too using Grapefruit Grove ink and one of the smaller branch stamps from the Rooted In Nature Stamp set.

And here is my finished project.  I love how all the colours blended in well with each other.  How did I get the surrounding colours?  All I've done is used sponge daubers, one for each colour and starting lightest to darkest blended around and around the outer edges. I slowly brought the colour in close to the tree.  For some 'texture' I've really soaked a couple of the colours ie Mint Macaron and Soft Sea Foam into the dauper and 'pounced' them on leaving the 'texture' of the dauber. Know what I mean?

Below is a list of all the colours I used and tools.  Remember, I didn't have the full sized ink pad of Soft Suede so I used an un-inked ink spot and reinker to make my own little ink pad.

I know you are going to love the Stamparatus as I do.  Remember, purchasing from Stampin Up Australia you have the best warranty with this product. Don't be fooled by cheaper copies or imports!

FYI I have also stamped with one of the smaller branches using Versamark ink around the outer edges of my base card. I've edge both the base and card front with a gold leafing pen I always have in my supplies. Think Krylon????

til next time

happy stamping, colouring and creating!
