Need a flower for that! 19 June 2018

Tutu Tuesday Tutorials!

Welcome back.  As you may have noticed, Wirgie's really getting in to the video tutorials.  I do love to write my blog posts but I've found I can share much faster and easier with you if I make a video of how I create rather than still photos.  I'll include some stills in this as well though.

Want a bit of a template?  You can save this image and use it to trace around.

I love flowers. In fact, I love to make my own flowers. That way I never run out of them, I can make them any size or colour I want/need. With this tutorial I am recycling a 30cm square sheet of tissue paper that came in between the fabulous new Delightfully Detailed Laser-cut Speciality Papers.  I'll share about those another time.  There were many sheets of white tissue paper between the laser-cut sheets and I don't like to waste paper.  This tissue is a nice bright white as well and I thought how lovely it would be turned into a flower.  Now I know I've used a retired punch for this video but like I've mentioned, you can use dies through your bigshot or even hand cut them out. It's not hard at all, being tissue paper, to cut through with a good pair of sharp paper snips/scissors.

Here is my finished flower, isn't it pretty?

And here are two flowers I made a few years ago to decorate an up-cycled mint tin, different flower punches but the same technique. The bigger was made with brown  packing paper and the small black one with black tissue paper.

Happy stamping colouring, crafting and creating!
