Ah the joys of  having house repairs done.  It's been a busy couple of weeks. The Hovel is still surrounded in scaffolding but that's coming down hopefully within the week. We've a brand spanking new 'original' ColorBond roof on both the house and the garage and bbq area up the back too.  We have found out the last roofers did NOT use original ColorBond brand roofing and as for the whirly bird air vent, it wasn't even the right model or colour. They'd hand painted it to look like the supposed matching colourbond one. It was pink when it was removed the paint had faded and peeled off, I kid you not!   Hubby's work shop has been rebuilt  as well.  I am currently "wrapped in plastic" IE my craft area has been sealed off from the kitchen and my kitchen has been sealed off from the rest of the house, agghh!!

Now my kitchen/family room ceiling is being partially removed as I type and new sections installed.  This is a two day job so my poor kitties are shut outside in their enclosure right now. They don't know what's happened to be shut outside this early in the morning, poor babies.  Nibbles the oh so vocal one cried for nearly an hour this morning.  Pippy has discovered the dog kennel is nice and warm. Nibbles? He's laying at the gate, in the dirt and damp grass, daft cat!

This Fabulous Friday I'm going to share with you a few photos of past projects that some of my newer readers may never have seen.  They were on my old blog which since the end of 2017 ceased to exist. But lucky for me, I kept copies of most of it ;-)

First is this fabulous card in a box. Well not just one but a few.  Please note, most products in the older ones are retired but you can so recreate them with all the gorgeous new products available now.  Place an order with me through my online store during July and I will send you the PDF for free! Just remember to register with my online store so I have an email address to send it to!

These next few photos are some of many many creations I've made. I have thousands of photos of my creations. You can see over the years, all the gorgeous products Stampin' Up! have released.  Everything can be recreated using current products!

Lastly I'll leave you with some photos of the creations I made for a Local OnStage presentation that was held at the Sydney Hilton Hotel. I loved being given the opportunity to showcase new products that were being released that year and people loved my book marks especially.  If you were lucky enough to be at Auckland in April this year, you may have received an updated version of that giant paper clip bookmark too!

Well, that's all I can do for now, it's too cold to sit here with all the doors wide open and all the noise happening. I'm going into the lounge where at least I can have the heater on.

Tutu Tuesday, 26th June 2019!

TutuTuesdayJune2019Floral1a

Oh how I love Tutus and check out this one. I've got a new app on my Samsung Galaxy S9 phone that can animate them all or parts of pictures/photos. (I just got the free version)  Tutu Tuesdays are even more fun!   Sorry if it's huge, but that's how my phone does them and if I decrease the size I loose the animation.

Just a small but handy little tutorial today using the water colour pencils.

pencilScribbled1aWith the 2nd pack of more colours now a standard item in the annual catalogue, it's a great time to grab them.   I've selected 4 colours and scribbled them onto water colour paper.  Next I took a water only filled aqua painter and blended the four colours together making them look like I've painted on with water colour paints.  These 4 colours blend so beautifully together.

I chose the Sailing Home stamp set and matching dies, Smooth Sailing to stamp and cut out my lighthouse. I sponged on a little smoky slate to plain white card stock stamped with the Lighthouse in Jetblack Stazon.  I also cut out the rope, knot, sentiment frame & seaweed sprigs.  Hand sponged the seaweed to match the water coloured background.  My black layer of card stock I ran through my die cutting machine with the Tufted 3D embossing folder. Inside I selected the compass stamp and randomly stamped with Coastal Cabana & Balmy Blue the Compass stamp from the same stamp set.

Turned out rather nice I recon!

Monday Musing-24thJune2019!

MondayMusingsJune2019A

Omgoodness, how cold is it lately?  Here in the far north west of Sydney, not far from the foot of the Blue Mountains it's cold, wet and wintery with a vengance.  No work being done on our house today, it's way too wet. It's 9.30am as I type and it hasn't even hit double digits yet!

What a lovely weekend I had celebrating my friend Gwen's birthday and she loved her tri-fold card and gifts inside her handmade gift bag.  We had lovely seafood finger food platters and pizzas at her afternoon gathering out in lovely Windsor. Yummy birthday cake and a couple of cupcakes were brought home for the Herbster and I to enjoy after tea last night.  Delicious!!  Gwen's daughter in law Lizzy along with Lizzy's sister made the cake & cupcakes and they did an outsdanding job. Here a few photos of the afternoon yesterday.  I left to come home just as the weather really turned to freezing. The rain started to splatter and felt like ice, just as I got to my car which was under cover yay!

FF@F'o'clock'ish, 21to23June2019!

FFat5OclockishJune2019a

So yes, it's not Friday but like I said over on my Facebook Page, that's why the 'ish is on the end of the name of these posts LOL.

This week I'm revisiting hand made gift bags and making a tri-fold screen card.  It's a very special persons 60th and we are celebrating on Sunday. That's why this hasn't gone live until the start of her celebration gathering!

So remember the gift bag tutorial I did on Tutu Tuesday, 11th September 2018? Click here to see it

I've used that tutorial to create this gorgeous gift bag to place my friend Gwen's birthday gifts in. I know she'll love these colours, they are so Gwen!  It's retired paper (Petal Promenade) and one I'd been 'hording' for a special occasion, which this is!  So I've #LovedItFoldedItSnippedIt to make it from 2 pieces of 12"x12" double sided designer series paper.  There are so many new designs that you'll sure to find new ones to make these very handy bags.

finishedBagCardJune2019a

Next I've created Gwen's birthday card into a tri-fold screen card, below are the instructions, measurements and what I used is in the product listing at the bottom of this post!  It's lovely because you can keep the card tied closed with that gorgeous new Petal Pink Ribbon or open it and it will stand on it's own with it's little 'feet'!

PunchingTheFeetOut1

My front panel is created by fussy cutting out some of the Petal Promenade patterned paper. I've used some glitter card (I think it's Rose Gold but they were scraps and loose in my scrap basket) to punch the butterflies.  I've used Granny Apple Green card stock to layer the label, stamp some leaves in the matching ink and die cut out some folliage using the Frosted Bouquet dies (page 193 in the annual catalogue)  My base card is Petal Pink card stock which has had it's edges sponged with the matching ink too.  The middle panel layers are also from that retired DSP, Petal Promenade, perfect shape for this card. I've stamped my sentiments using Granny Apple Green ink too.
